I can get Yeungling at my Walmart. I know Publix carries a lot more, including some craft beers, but I haven't really looked around to see what my local one carries.

Define it for yourself. What you enjoy drinking the most, best according to ratings sites... I don't care. Up to you.

if you can get yeungling at walmart, i wouldnt mess with that. minnesota supermarket beer is just the big ones (i.e. budweiser, miller, coors). no crafts, nothing special. i personally like stouts and porters, which pretty much dont exist at the supermarket

Yeungling's not bad for a cheap beer. Granted, it's not fantastic, but it's better than Budweiser or Coors, imo. From what I understand, Walmart started carrying it down here because we had a bunch of PA transplants requesting it, it gained in popularity nationwide, and Walmart finally caved.
Publix is supposed to have a huge selection of craft beers, but again, I don't really go over there that much, so I don't know what's there. They have a searchable list online that I'm just starting to flip through, so I may end up heading over there sooner or later to pick something up.

Supermarkets and convenience stores in Colorado only sell 3.2 beer, you need to go to a liquor store to get regular beer

Our grocery stores are typical large brews, even with imports. Corona, Heineken, Guinness that type of beer. They have some small selection of "craft beer" but they arent typically what I like and are over priced.
But the liquor store across the street is ran by a beer fan so there is a shit load of selection. My favorite right no is Grapefruit Scullpin IPA by Ballast Point. its $15 for a 6 pack, but fantastic

I dont buy it often, but when Im going to a poker game or a fight
Grocery stores around here will carry sam adams, but that's about as "good" as it gets for supermarket beer. I mostly dont even look at beer in the supermarket - there's such a huge amount of craft beer around, it makes absolutely no sense to get beer at the supermarket unless you're that friggin lazy you cant make a trip out for real beer. (And Sam Adams...I'll pass. On just about every single flavor they make. They may love their "signature hop profile" but to me it is this odd nasty flavor that taints every single one of their beers.)
Still stuck on Dogfish 60 min, I love that stuff.
And Blue Point's Hoptical Illusion.
But what I'm really looking forward to, is my brother's next batch of red ale. My older brother killed just about the entire batch last time, it was that good, and I never even got to try it! :willie: I'm not normally huge on ale, but my brother's beer is really good, provided he doesnt try something and get a weird result.

It's not about being a snob.. No more than wanting a good steak on a Friday night is...
$15 a sixer? that is real fuggin steep. anything around here that expensive is an Imperial and usually comes in a 4 pack for 10, 12 bucks.

IPAs are tricky - too much hop in the boil on most of them, gives it that bitterness. bro's been going very light on the hops in the boil and hopping the shit out of it afterward - way better infusion of hop flavor

My wife and I went to a bar/restaurant that has tons of taps. Of the non commercial beer, they maybe had 2 taps that weren't IPA. Doesn't bother me since I like IPA's my wife on the other hand is not a fan.
I spend most of my money here now anyway. The Pekoe Tea is my favorite
