A mom of one of the thieves involved in a macaroni salad heist in upstate New York hasn't taken kindly to jokes about her son's failed burglary.
Amy Bailey says the incident is no laughing matter and her 23-year-old son Timothy Walker, a heroin addict, has a disease, reports 13 WHAM ABC.
Walker was one of a hapless trio of thieves in Livingstone County N.Y. who targeted the Build-A-Burger restaurant but was easily tracked down after leaving a trail of macaroni salad right into their woods hideout.
The incident has become so notorious that Build-A-Burger now displays a sign which reads: "The best burgers and mac salad worth stealing for."

But Bailey says the incident is no joke and was upset by the restaurant sign.
"(Walker) is not okay. He's in jail and he has a disease," she said.
Talking about the sign, she said it "really tore at me. I don't understand how he is supposed to get better if we don't work together."
