LEVITTOWN, Pa. - It was a picture perfect Sweet 16 birthday party Sunday for one local girl, but that party came to a sudden messy end. What dropped from the sky had party-goers disgusted.
There's a couple observations about Sweet 16 parties. Number one; you only get one in your lifetime and number two shouldn't be there. But it was number two, at Jacinda's Sweet 16 party in Levittown Sunday evening and it came from the sky.
Joe Cambray, Jacinda's stepfather, was playing horseshoes in the backyard while others were swimming. About 40 people were there when it started raining-- only it wasn't raining.
"Out of nowhere, from the sky, comes a bunch of feces, lands on her," Joe told FOX 29.
It slammed into the middle of a canopy. The canopy Joe just bought hours earlier to give his guests a little protection from the elements. Not realizing, of course, which element he'd be protecting them from.
"It landed on the baby seat that was here," he explained. "We just got done with cake. Thank God. We took the cake back in, because within two minutes, something fell from the sky. It was brown, it was everywhere, it got on everything," said Joe. "I grabbed a hose from over here, immediately started lining things up to start washing it off"
Joe's tech savvy sister grabbed her smartphone and used an app to figure out five planes were flying above them at that moment. Not that the information offered much comfort right then.
The FAA tells FOX 29 all airplanes are required to dispose of the waste at an airport. The family filed a complaint with the FAA. The FAA says they will investigate.
