A gymnast from Malaysia is under heavy fire after she allegedly showed the “shape of her vagina” by wearing a leotard.
Though Farah Ann Abdul Hadi, 21, won a gold medal in gymnastics at the Southeast Asian games, many critics chose to focus on what she was wearing rather than her accomplishments.
Hadi reportedly pulled off a “flawless floor routine,” scoring 13.733 against Indonesia and Vietnam, according to The New Paper.
Many took to Facebook to voice their ire with Hadi’s outfit though.
“Until she’s dead too people can see the shape of her vagina and aurat,” commented one Facebook user on a photo of her announcing that she had won gold.
“Aurat” is an Arabic word that refers to genitalia and other places on a person’s body that should be covered, according to The Malay Mail Online.

“Just strip off your clothes lah …” another user commented, “let everyone see.”
“This is the joy of the temporal world,” another one wrote, “even though our afterlife will be full of pain from Allah … what is it compared to the medal hung around that neck if our spirit in the afterlife suffer one day later.”

Many defended the young woman, with one user saying: “So disgusting reading these religious comments from so-called future members of heaven … just ignore them … Congratulations Farah Ann, it’s not easy to get a gold medal for Malaysia.”

Another person wrote: “Ignore those … who can’t see beyond their limited brain capacity! Keep up the good work! We are proud of you!”
The 21-year-old also won three bronze medals and a silver medal in individual events.
