New images from the Mars Curiosity rover captured what appeared to be a pyramid on the planet.
The images show the perfectly formed pyramid, which is comparable in size to a car, on the surface of the planet. The discovery of the pyramid has sparked excitement among conspiracy theorists, who have questioned whether the formation might be evidence that an intelligent being once inhabited the planet (video below).

Other theorists have suggested it could be considered proof that humans on Earth descended from an ancient Martian civilization.
A more likely explanation for the newly discovered pyramid is that it is a rock formation that developed naturally on the planet over time, and that the shape was purely by chance.
