It’s the freakin’ weekend and we’re gonna have us some sun.
Bust out your sunglasses and shorts, stock up on ice lollies and head to a pub’s beer garden because the forecast this weekend is looking sweet.
Although don’t throw away your umbrella just yet. This is Britain, after all.
After blistering highs of 36.7C earlier in the week, the weather is chilling out slightly so you can enjoy the weekend without fear of your flesh melting into a puddle on the ground. Rejoice.
For most of the UK, today will be dry with plenty of sunshine.

But the north east may see more storms this evening. Hopefully not as bad as Wednesday night, though, which brought huge hailstones and caused a house fire.
Saturday brings warm weather, but the Met Office say it will be ‘very warm again in the southeast and largely dry elsewhere with sunny spells.
Although they do warn conditions will be: ‘Breezy and cooler across Scotland, with rain gradually easing and clearing north.’
The sun will continue to shine on Sunday although prepare for a little wind and rain on the west coast.
Well you didn’t expect it to be perfect – did you?
