Hot Springs 2-year-old dies in hot car

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KTHV) – Hot Springs police are investigating after an infant died in a hot car.

The two-year-old was reportedly found unresponsive in a car on Friday afternoon.

According to Jerry Porter with the Hot Springs Fire Department, they and Lifenet Emergency Medical Services responded to a call around 3:20 p.m. concerning a deceased child in a vehicle on Fair Oaks Place. Attempts to revive the child were unsuccessful.

It is not clear yet how long the child was in the car, but police say the death was heat-related.

According to the City of Hot Springs PIO, Cpl. McCrary Means, the body will be sent to the State Crime Lab to gather more information.

It's sad enough that this sort of thing happens.
...but the parent that forgot his child in this case was a local judge.

It was several days before the name was reported and still no arrest or charges have been filed.
If you try to find articles most have been removed.

I can't imagine what I would go through if responsible for something like this but if this had been the average joe they would have been handcuffed, arrested and drug though the mud.
