Placing a wanted ad for a “waitress” left a restaurateur facing a $5,000 discrimination fine from the city.

Businessman Sebastian Rozario put an ad up on Craigslist last year looking for a “waitress/barista.”

“We are looking for experienced waitress who can make cappuccino and has general barista experience as well. Good food and wine. Potential for good tips if you can sell the items on the menu,” he wrote.

An investigator for the city Human Rights Commission found the ad and flagged it as anti-male discrimination.

An administrative law judge ruled the ad broke the law and recommended a $5,000 fine, plus anti-discrimination training.

Rozario, who said in the ad he was hiring for a restaurant in the East Village or Brooklyn, failed to respond to the complaint and hung up on a commission lawyer, according to the ruling.

In a similar case, an Upper East Side restaurant was hit with a $5,000 fine last year for posting an ad for a “hostess.”
