A Texas woman has been arrested after being found passed out on drugs while her two children were locked outside of the house.
Police responded to a call of possible child abandonment Monday morning. When they arrived at the Liberty residence, they found two small children crying on an upstairs apartment balcony, Click 2 Houston reported.
Officers forced their way inside to rescue the children, who were in direct sunlight and appeared to have been there for awhile. They found 21-year-old Casey Rae Trine passed out from synthetic drug use in a back room, according to reports.
The two children were examined by paramedics and put in the custody of Children’s Protective Services. Trine was booked into Liberty County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
