On Aug. 12, a man allegedly drowned his 3-year-old stepdaughter by repeatedly throwing her into a hotel pool in Morelia, Mexico. The unidentified man’s actions were caught on surveillance cameras (video below) and the disturbing content was posted online by Quadratin News TV.
The man can be seen repeatedly pushing the girl under the water despite her struggles. At the end of the video, he can be seen throwing a life ring at the child.
Later that day, the girl stopped breathing and was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. An autopsy ruled that the cause of her death was secondary drowning, reported Proceso, a Spanish-language magazine.
At the time of the incident, the child’s mother was sleeping in the hotel room.
The man has been charged with aggravated homicide.
