What made your first car so special?

Is it because of the first time you drove on your own with R Kelly’s Ignition remix blasting out?

The bumps, the scrapes, the unidentifiable stains on the back seat – all glorious.

Now these kids have made the wonderful gesture of routing out their parent’s first car and restoring it for them.

Nathan Streifel and his four siblings located the blue and white 1973 Pontiac Lemans that his parents had first started dated in – we’re guessing a few visits to lookout point.

On seeing the now gleaming 42-year-old Sedan – both mum and dad Streifel broke down into tears.

They were told by their kids they had to share it…we’re sure they’ll find a way.

Judging by the license plate on the trailer, they're in Saskatchewan, 1 province over from Hal.

I remember as a kid my brother (16 years older than me) lusting after this year of LeMans. I was 8 and car-crazy. He took it for a test drive and brought it back home. He didn't have the cash to do the deal!
