Coach: Mike McCarthy.

2015 record: 1-0, first in NFC North.

The series: This will be the 16th regular-season meeting of the teams. The Packers lead the series 8-7, including a 6-3 mark in Wisconsin. The Packers won the most recent regular-season meeting in Green Bay, 48-10 in 2009. However, the most recent meeting was Seattle’s 28-22 overtime win in the NFC Championship Game in January.

Early line: Packers by 3.

Key players:

QB Aaron Rodgers: In his 11th season and 31 years old, Rodgers looked as good as ever in an opening win over the Bears. Forced to compensate without having leading receiver Jordy Nelson, Rodgers threw more short- and medium-range passes, completing 18 of 23 for 189 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran eight times for 35 yards.

WR James Jones: A ninth-year veteran out of San Jose State, Jones was a mainstay of the Green Bay offense from 2007-13 before signing as a free agent with the Raiders. But after making 73 catches with the Raiders in 2014 he was released in May in a salary-cap move. He was signed by the Giants, who released him in the cutdown to 53 players. Green Bay, in the market for a receiver after the loss of Nelson, brought back Jones, and he caught two of Rodgers’ three touchdown passes in the win over the Bears.

WR/KR Ty Montgomery: Like the Seahawks, the Packers used the draft to revive a lagging return game, using a third-round pick on Montgomery, a former star at Stanford. Montgomery got off to a nice start in his primary role as kickoff returner averaging 35.3 yards on three attempts against the Bears — the Packers averaged 19.1 yards per kickoff return last season to rank 31st in the NFL.

LB Clay Matthews: Matthews remains one of the NFL’s more dangerous pass rushers. But the Packers also ask Matthews to play more inside linebacker and drop in coverage. In that role he had one of the key plays of Green Bay’s win over the Bears with an interception of a Jay Cutler pass in the fourth quarter.

Green Bay’s keys to the success: The Packers are a popular pick to dethrone Seattle as NFC champs this season based on a typically potent offense paired with a defense that often is just good enough. Rodgers is healthy again and appeared as mobile as ever in the opener against the Bears. Without Nelson, the Packers used more of a short passing game while also leaning on their rushing attack, with Eddie Lacy picking up 85 yards on 19 carries. The Packers ran it on 30 of 53 plays. Still, even without Nelson, the Packers still have a solid set of receivers led by Randall Cobb, Davante Adams and Jones. Defensively, Green Bay still appears vulnerable against the run, giving up 189 yards on 33 attempts by the Bears. Figure Seattle’s ability to get Marshawn Lynch and its running game going — or Green Bay’s ability to stop it — as one of the bigger keys Sunday. Green Bay had well-documented special-teams issues last season and fired assistant Shawn Slocum after the botched on-side kick recovery against the Seahawks in the NFC title game. The early reviews are that the Packers are improved in that area.

I found a formula that will convert point spreads over to odds, so starting with next week's game, the wagering will be using point spreads. This game above will be the last one with wagering on the moneyline.
