Amazon Prime Now

As many of you know, I have been on Amazon boycott for a year or more. But the girlfriend is not. :lol:

She discovered that we are in a Prime Now delivery area and wanted to try it out. Prime Now promises order and delivery in 2 hours. :-s

They sent her a coupon to try it, so she gave it a try this morning.

She ordered 9 miscellaneous items, toilet paper, washing detergent, some bottled water, some tea, coffee, etc. at 07:24. The driver arrived at the apartment with the order at 08:46.

From order to delivery in 1:22. Wow. That's crazy. :shock:

And the delivery is free as part of her prime trial membership. She tipped the driver $5.

Do you remember a movie with Sandy Bullock called The Net? She was an introvert who never left her apartment. The movie portrayed her working from home and doing a lot of things like ordering food and supplies online. Critics at the time ('93 or '95 I think) said her character's lifestyle was completely fictional and most of the things shown could never come to pass.
