OSWEGO COUNTY, N.Y. — A New Yorker on Friday shared a video he believes could contain the sounds of a Bigfoot.
YouTube user Translucentorb says he was in eastern Oswego County when he captured the unidentified howls.
The 3-minute video shows the man’s vehicle parked on the side of an undisclosed road in the middle of a wooded area as a series of apparent animal howls can be heard in the distance.

The New York resident, who claims to have extensive wilderness experience, says he has never heard anything like it.
“I have worked in around around various wilderness areas in New York State for close to a decade,” he says, although, he adds, he” has no academic or professional training or experience in zoology”.
But the man, admitting being skeptical about it, says he still finds the recordings interesting and that he would like to get some input from the viewers regarding the source of these “animal vocalizations”.
Some investigators believe Bigfoot is a shy animal in nature and therefore resort to trying to capture audio of the alleged beast instead.
This is the case of the man in charge of the Yowie Listening Project, who earlier this year released an audio file he suspects could be the voice of the Australian Bigfoot.

Although rare, Bigfoot sightings in New York have been reported this year.
In January, John Swaney, a single father of two in Schuyler County, said he and his friend had come across a primate while hiking near Cayuta Lake, prompting them to leave their “expensive equipment” behind.
