An Arlington man has been charged with exposing himself in a mall dressing room while wearing women’s underwear, and authorities have connected the suspect to a similar incident in September, Fairfax County police said.
Allen Jones, 52, of Longfellow Street, allegedly exposed himself to a clerk at the J.C. Penney’s store at the Springfield Mall around 11:15 a.m. Monday, police said.
Jones was shopping in the women’s underwear section and requested assistance from the clerk. The man then tried on the items in the dressing room and exposed himself, police said.
The clerk immediately called mall security and police, and Jones was arrested.
Detectives also connected Jones to a similar incident in September. In that case, Jones was charged with exposing himself to a clerk at the Soma women’s lingerie store at the same mall.
Detectives are seeking anyone who may have had similar encounters with Jones.
