LILLOOET, British Columbia – Police say a man has walked into an aboriginal government office in British Columbia and attacked the people there, leaving 10 injured, some critically.

Police say the suspect was restrained when they arrived and died some time after the Wednesday attack.

Michaela Swan with the Interior Health Authority said that two patients are in critical condition, another two in serious condition and six others have non-life threatening injuries.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police say they were called about a man with a weapon at the Bridge River Indian Band office. They say they found the suspect already restrained when they arrived, but he was unconscious and unresponsive.

Police say they immediately started resuscitation efforts, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

There are way too many hammers out on the streets being used for crimes. We need to put restrictions on purchasing them.

He was being polite, he didn't want to cause a disturbance with loud gunshots.

yes, as injured people are just like dead people shot with guns...

and what was that stat that Red posted again? Oh yeah, groups of people shot almost DAILY in the States. And then Loser posts a stat from Wiki about gun deaths in Somalian and South American war zones saying it's the same thing as deaths in urban America    you guys are funny..

I was playing on the polite Canadian reputation.

no worries....I find it hilarious when some people (usually my neighbors to the south) compare a non gun attack stat to their thousands of gun deaths stat...it makes me smile :)

on a more serious note...a few years ago we had a death/beheading on a Greyhound bus. It was surreal.....some mental patient cut the head off another passenger (just about) and left the body sitting there

I was waiting to hear about legitimate changes to the policy of riding buses, meaning checking people for weapons more thoroughly...nothing ever came of it which was disappointing. Turns out the guy used a relatively small knife

Seriously, wanted to see them change something in the boarding procedures.(like maybe a metal detector) To my knowledge you can still just jump on the bus. To me, inactivity or no change after a murder, is idiotic. You have to at least attempt a step to prevent it from happening.
