I've heard rumors of a Cali establishment called In -N- Out burger that have these things called "Animal style fries". I can't speak to their existence since I'm sworn to avoid California at all costs, but I've heard that they're pretty good.

I'm not a fries fan but have found that Wendy's fries are better than McDingleberrys and most others around here..

best fries or chips I've had are the home made giant wedges, fried in tons of oil with the potato skins still on them.

Lots of salt, dip them in ketchup and I could make a meal out of just that

I really need to get down to the one closest to me. I just keep putting it off longer and longer.

McDonalds french fries win for the best consistency from restaurant to restaurant. No matter where you go, you can count on them being great, they are definitely in the top 5 of fast food fries. I think Wendy's fries have come a LONG way and are miles better than they used to be, I think they are definitely in the top 5 as well now when before I wouldn't have even put them in the top 10. Five Guys are really good too, my only problem with them is that for a fast food joint, it's pretty pricey to go there on any kind of semi-regular basis. Good Times, which is a Colorado fast food chain has really good fries as well. They used to be so-so kinda like Wendy's, but they changed and now they are in my Top 5 too. But. if you want to talk fries though, the best fires, IMHO, without questions?

And the worst of the fast food fries? Burger King, without question.

I think their fries are pretty shitty, and animal style is just a bunch of cheese, grilled onions and burger sauce on top. It helps, but I would still say McD's are better overall

When I lived back in Vermont and we went out drinking in downtown Burlington back in my younger days, Nectar's was always the last stop to get an order of gravy fries :homer:

Me and my Dad took my Mom out to Phil's last week (kinda like Denny's if you don't have them)

I had a chicken Cesar dish with fries. They brought some gravy that was out of this world and I'm not usually a fry guy.

Phil's is generally a pancake/breakfast/sandwich place but man...they give you tons of food and it's all similar to home made :yumyum:
