A grocery store in Pennsylvania is refusing to sell to minors, but it’s not just the expected items.

In addition to cigarettes, alcohol and certain types of medications, eggs are among the things that will have cashiers at one store asking for ID.

That’s right. Minors will not be able to purchase eggs at Warehouse Market in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, until after November 1.

“Due to safety concerns we are not allowing the purchase of eggs by minors from 10/24/2015 thru 11/01/2015,” a sign posted at the store stated.

According to WTXF-TV, some shoppers think the store’s decision to stop selling eggs to kids during this timeframe is a bit much.

“Come on. Really? I mean, it’s an egg,” Wayne Mackiewicz told the news station. ”Yes, it’s a little bit of a bugger to clean up and yes if you don’t wash it off the car right away it can leave a little mark, but it washes off.”

“It think it’s too much,” another woman told WTXF. “It’s mischief night. Who cares?”

The same sign appears to have gotten attention on the social news site Reddit, where it has gone viral.

Some Redditors commented on the thread that such a decision is not as uncommon as one might think. One person wrote that a store near him instituted a similar policy for toilet paper.

That's actually pretty smart.

I hear dried egg is a pain in the ass to get off your car and house.

this was common practice in my home town, just like no toilet paper to minors around homecoming
