A woman was arrested on a charge of assault after allegedly using a toilet lid to beat her husband following an argument, police in Florida said.
Sebastian police said that they have arrested 48-year-old Angela Austin-Knight, after being accused of hitting her husband’s face with the toilet lid.
According to the police investigation, the suspect’s husband called to report that his wife was drunk and trying to hurt him at his home located in the 900 block of Truman Street.
The husband said that he and his wife were arguing on Saturday around 1:30 a.m., and at some point, they went outside of the home.
Austin-Knight became more violent, and hit him in the head and face with the toilet lid. The husband ran back into the home and locked the door.
After realizing that the door was locked, Austin-Knight grabbed the porcelain toilet lid and used it to break the window of the kitchen.
She climbed into the house and threatened her husband with the toilet lid. At that point, police arrived at the scene. Officers noticed that Austin-Knight was extremely intoxicated and arrested her.
