SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. — A couple in South Carolina were arrested after police say they unlawfully called 911 to report seeing possums and people jumping out of their refrigerator and microwave.
According to WYFF, deputies responded to the home of Brandon Terry and Casey Fowler after they called 911 several times throughout the night.
The two told the deputy they had photos of worms and camouflaged people coming out of the floor of their vehicle. The deputy said Terry showed him photos of a basketball goal and tree instead. Terry said the camouflaged person was standing under the tree and when the deputy said he could not see him, Terry said it was because only he could see him.
When asked if the two were on drugs, they replied “no.”
During a sobriety test, deputies say Terry had rapid eye tremors and EMS said both suspects had accelerated heart rates.
The deputy said he believed Terry and Fowler to be under the influence of “gravel” also known as Flakka.
Terry and Fowler were both arrested and charged with unlawful use of 911. Terry was also charged with fugitive from justice.
