Shoppers exhausted from Christmas-oriented advertising can find relief in Nordstrom, a retailer that’s decided to delay decorating for Christmas until after Thanksgiving.

The Seattle-based upscale department store chain posted an announcement on the entrance to one of its store regarding its Christmas policy.

“We won’t be decking our halls until Friday, November 27. Why? Well, we just like the idea of celebrating one holiday at a time,” the sign reads. “From our family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving.”

Nordstrom’s policy on Christmas decorations has been the same for years. According to President Jamie Nordstrom, the policy has existed for as long as he can remember, reports Fox 12 Oregon.

“You see holiday things start to happen earlier and earlier. It’s never been a part of our business to look at what other retailers are doing and say, ‘How can we copy them?’" Nordstrom said. "We want to play our game and be the best Nordstrom we can be. And part of that is celebrating one holiday at a time.”

The retailer is also one of only a few that has refused to open on Thanksgiving Day, reports NBC Chicago. Instead, Nordstrom plans to open for the holiday shopping rush on Black Friday.

THANK YOU! Someone finally gets it!

And if I was into girly shit, I'd probably go spend money there.
