A missing 2-year-old girl was found naked and shivering on the side of a road seven miles from her Massachusetts home, with her head shaved and cigarette burns on her body — and her ex-baby sitter has been charged with taking and torturing the tyke.
Passing motorists found Lyndon Albers sitting alone atop a pile of leaves about three hours after her frantic parents reported her missing Friday morning.
The child had suffered several burns and a softball-sized bruise to her head, which had also been shaved, the Boston Herald reported Saturday.
Abigail Hanna, 21, had recently been fired as the child’s baby sitter, Boston’s WCVB-TV reported.

Hanna’s Facebook page describes the pretty blonde as a recently engaged Boston native who lives in the town of Topsfield.
The page says she is studying English literature at Gordon College, a small Christian school 25 miles north of Boston.
Throughout the page are photos of Hanna broadly as she picks apples in an orchard and poses with her husband-to-be and a bevy of young and pretty girlfriends.
Hanna, who was arrested after a search of her home, is charged with kidnapping, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, assault and battery on a child, and breaking and entering in the nighttime.
She was being held without bail pending a hearing Monday, police said Saturday.

Hamilton Police Chief Russell Stevens did not disclose a motive for the alleged abduction and abuse., saying only that the incident was not random and “not indicative of any continuing or wider threat.”
More information would be released when “appropriate,” the chief said.
The shivering toddler was discovered in the town of Rowley by passing motorists, according to authorities.
“Lo and behold, there was a little child sitting in the leaves, just sitting there,” motorist Tom Crosby told WBZ-TV of finding what he first thought was a doll as he drove his wife, Marge, to work.
“[Lyndon] looked like she was in a bit of shock, shivering and shaking. I tried not to startle her. I approached her slowly and I noticed she was cold, so I went over to her,” said Crosby, of Ipswich.
“I asked her name and if she was hurt at all. I thought I heard ‘No’ at one point and decided it was safe to pick her up,” Crosby said.
His wife called 911 as Crosby wrapped the child in a coat and put her in his car to get warm, he said.
The toddler was rushed to a nearby hospital and reunited with her parents, Tim and Joanie Albers, officials said.
The parents told cops they’d last seen their young daughter at 3 a.m.
At 7 a.m., they discovered she had vanished from their home in Hamilton.
Police helicopters, K-9 units, and detectives joined in the search.
Lyndon was transferred to Boston Children’s Hospital in fair condition and remained there Saturday, officials said.
