Katherine Grace Rice, 31, of Zephyrhills, Florida, is accused of sexually battering a 1-to-2 month-old infant boy in a video she filmed herself.

She allegedly texted the video to her husband, Derick Rice, 30, in May 2015, and he then sent the video to three people via Facebook, the Tampa Bay Times and WFLA reports. One person who received the video on Nov. 28 reported the video to the authorities. Katherine was arrested that night, and Derick was arrested on Nov. 30, after police found the video on his cellphone.

The infant was born in April 2015, but it’s unclear when the video was made or how the couple gained access to the baby. According to a police affidavit obtained by WFLA, Katherine admitted to recording the video on her tablet.

Police investigating the case obtained Derick’s permission to search his cell phone, where they discovered the pornographic video.

Katherine has been charged with sexual battery involving a victim under 12 years of age and sexual performance by a child. She was released from police custody on Nov. 30 after posting $60,000 bond.

Derick has been charged with sexual performance of a child and transmitting pornography by electronic device, the Tampa Bay Times notes. He is being held on $10,000 bond.

In 2008 when I first joined FB, if people (or myself) posted or shared even a slightly dirty or off-color pic, some sort of moderating crew would remove it. I wonder if it was the facebook police who caught them after she posted the vid? Sounds like that was the chain of events.
