An Alabama man is probably regretting his decision after he sold what looked like an old, rusted automobile to a restoration specialist only to find out that it’s worth $180,000.

The 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona was sitting in the man’s Greenwood, Alabama barn, wasting away, reports NY Daily News. Now the classic muscle car is set to be auctioned off where it’s expected to fetch anywhere between $150,000 and $180,000.

So why is a rust- and moss-covered car with a dilapidated interior and a broken engine worth so much? Despite being a rust-bucket, the car is extremely rare. Dodge only made 503 Charger Daytonas in 1969, many of which were qualified for NASCAR racing standards.

Under all that dust, moss and rust, are flames painted on the front fenders. According to Mecum Auctions, it has a 440 Magnum V-8 engine with almost all its original parts and only 20,553 miles on the odometer. The vehicle only had two previous owners, black bucket seats, an automatic transmission, and was featured in the November 2015 issue of Mopar Muscle.

One man’s trash truly is another man’s treasure.

The 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona will go on sale in January at the Mecum Kissimmee 2016 auction in Florida.

I dunno...seems too good to be true. That wing wasn't a clue it wasn't a standard car? In Alabama?? Someone must know some gearhead who'd know what it was.
