When you write WTF most people think you’re saying ‘what the f**k’ instead of World Taekwondo Federation.
That’s why the martial arts body has decided to rebrand itself and not use the acronym anymore, according to InsidetheGames.
It shall now be called World Taekwondo when it comes commercial dealings, the organisation’s secretary general Hoss Rafaty said.
But the group hasn’t changed its full title yet.
This follows the decision to rename two events in December.
So from now on when you want to refer to the federation just use the words World Taekwondo.
And if you want to declare how surprised you are at something on social media use WTF! (Or, for a more police version, try ‘Golly gosh!’)
