In January 2014, an Indiana mother was sentenced to 24 years in prison after allegedly renting out her daughters to be used in sex crimes.

A then-25-year-old Natisha Hillard pleaded guilty in the sex crimes performed against her young daughters during a 14-month period from 2011 through 2012, NWI Times reported at the time. Her youngest daughter was 4 months old at the beginning of the horrific ordeal.

Christopher Bour, 41, repeatedly molested Hillard’s infant daughter and used her images in child pornography. Another daughter of Hillard’s, who was between the ages of 3 and 5, was also reportedly photographed in lascivious poses along with the infant.

Both Bour and Hillard were charged in February 2013 after an anonymous woman told the FBI that Bour sent her text messages about molesting a child.

Bour also pleaded guilty to paying Hillard about $500 to have sex several times with her youngest daughter, which continued until the child was 18 months, WBBM News reported.

Hillard, who is a victim of child sexual abuse and mildly mentally retarded, initiated contact with Bour on various occasions when he abused her child, as reported by court documents cited by NWI Times. She admitted to being in the room with both Bour and the child during every meeting except the final one, when he reportedly paid a higher fee to be alone with her daughter, according to Hillard.

Hillard and Bour also reportedly had sexual relations.

"I don't think it would take mental giant, and when she's taking this child and it's being molested again and again," U.S. District Judge Rudy Lozano said during the sentencing, according to NWI Times.

“This case has haunted, I think, everybody who has been a part of it for over a year," Deputy U.S. Attorney Jill Koster said.

Bour was sentenced to life in prison plus 55 additional years to be served consecutively.

“There are some crimes so horrible that the defendant doesn’t deserve a second chance,” Koster added.

Bour was later ordered to pay $75,000 to the girls for mental health counseling, NWI Times reported in December 2015. He had argued he owed no restitution because the pornography was never distributed and the children are too young to remember the abuse.

Hillard has agreed to pay $12,500 in restitution to each of her daughters.

"Hopefully someday, if your kids come back to you, they'll understand that you're human and that humans make mistakes," Lozano told Hillard.
