CRESTVIEW — A woman caught with several pills in a plastic bag in her genitals told jail officials she didn’t know how the drugs got there.
Dusty Rae Ingram, a 38-year-old Crestview woman, was being processed into the Okaloosa County Jail Jan. 5 when a strip search uncovered the drugs.
She told officials what the drugs were and that she had a prescription for them. She said she keeps the pills in her purse and is unsure how they got from her purse into her genitals.
After being read her rights, Ingram admitted she knew she was not allowed to bring pills into the jail.
She was charged with introducing contraband into a detention facility, which is a felony.
