Lush’s products are oh so glittery and make everything within 10 metres smell of whatever it is they put in there.
But their products can have unintended consequences – if you use them incorrectly.
Abi Shenton sent a tweet to Lush after one of their products turned her flamingo pink. Yep, seriously, can you even imagine?!

She tweeted:
Hi! @lushcosmetics just a quick question, are your products supposed to stain the human skin fluorescent pink?… pic.twitter.com/1dJtzJoMWk
— abi (@abishenton) January 17, 2016

She can’t even get away with an ‘I’m just sun-burnt’ excuse, as it is the middle of January, sadly.
And it wasn’t long before Lush got back in touch. And they seemed to be just as shocked as the rest of us.

@abishenton Yikes! Please contact our friends in the UK at @LushWeCare so they can help you out with this! ❤

But after sending Abi a little love-heart emoji and using the word ‘yikes’ how could Abi possibly stay mad?
Well, it turns out, there was no reason to be mad at LUSH in the first place. Abi had simply not read the instructions and misused a product. A simple mistake to make… but we’re sure she won’t be making it again.

She cleared things up by commenting on an article on pretty52.com:
The product used was called ‘Razzle Dazzle’ and it is not a bath bomb! The correct procedure is that you are supposed to dilute it into water but I thought it was a soap and rubbed it all over my body and face (explains why my hair is dry) 3 days + several baths later I am no longer pink!
I misused this product! I love LUSH and will still continue to shop there. It’s just a shame that I wasn’t told how to correctly use the product when purchasing!
A very helpful friend of mine works at Lush and helped me remove all the pink stain with lemon juice, olive oil and a gritty face wash!

I used some kids type sun block on my head one summer at the beach. I had just gotten a flat top haircut, and didn't want my scalp to burn. The sun block worked, but it turned what hair I still had carrot orange, lol
