Two women were arrested in separate alleged biting incidents in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand, over the weekend.

A Hawke's Bay District Command Centre spokesman told Stuff.co.nz that the first incident happened at a grocery store parking lot on Jan. 30: "It was a fight between three females and during the fight one of the females has bitten another one's ear and drawn blood. She hasn't bitten it off, but quite badly so she needed some medical attention."

In the early morning hours of Jan. 31, another woman "intervened" in a brawl involving her brother and another man. She allegedly bit the other man so badly in the neck area that he had to be transported to a hospital because of the blood loss.

"She obviously got the right spot," the spokesman said.

However, the bar owner, Chris Sullivan, said he wasn't convinced that the woman actually bit the man as he (Sullivan) didn't recall seeing any teeth marks, but rather a "hole" or "gash" in the victim's neck.

"But I don't know, I'm not a specialist," Sullivan added.

He said that the alleged perpetrator, victim and second man were not locals.

The woman in the bar incident was charged with wounding the man.

Another biting incident involving a family recently took place as well, reports News.com.au.
