PEOPLE tuning in to watch This Morning today were left less than impressed by a woman who claimed she looks just like her teenage daughter.

Donna Galt, 33, and her 14-year-old child Mya appeared on the ITV breakfast programme dressed in identical clothing with the same bleach blonde and crimped hairstyle.

The mother-of-six said that she often went to concerts with her teenager and the pair would get mistaken for sisters.

However, viewers were less convinced that Donna and Mya looked like they were a similar age, and took to social media to express their disbelief at what they were seeing.

Nicky said with a hint of sarcasm: “Is this woman on @itvthismorning for real!! Gets mistaken for a teenager I would struggle to put her at her real age #thismorning.”

Tom ‏tweeted similar sentiments: “To say she looks like her daughters sister is stretching it a bit, is in her 30s and looks it lol #Thismorning.”

Rachel Louise said: “If she didn't dress like her 14 year old daughter, she wouldn't get mistaken for her. How embarrassing #thismorning.

While Stefanie Shipman ‏added: “This is so ridiculously embarrassing.. Mums should be mum's not dressing like their teenager #thismorning.”

Donna explained that she didn’t dress in the same clothes as her daughter all the time.

“I am obviously a working mum, so I am not around as much as I am at the weekend. But if I am around and we go to concerts, we do,” she said.

She went on to defend herself, telling hosts Ruth Langsford and Rylan Clark: “I am what I am at the end of the day. My friends know I am just a normal mum-of-six, Donna. At the end of the day I work hard to stay young.”

Mya also defended her mother, saying: “We have similar interests, we like going to concerts together, we like the same interests so we might as well go together.

The schoolgirl continued: “I think it’s cool, my mum’s dressing like me and stuff. It’s not so much about mum wearing my clothes, it’s more me going into her wardrobe and wearing her clothes.”
