A UFO conspiracist has called on real scientists to investigate his bizarre claims of discovering evidence of life on Mars amid claims NASA has photographed a "live monkey" on the Red Planet.
Scott C Waring, editor of UFO Sightings Daily, who spends hours trawling through NASA images of the surface of Mars beamed back by the Curiosity Rover droid, has accused the US space agency of "hiding the truth" by not flagging up the curious finds itself.
Mr Waring has spent several months releasing images that he claims show live creatures, the remains of dead ones, or evidence of intelligent civilisation such as buildings, statues and artwork in Martian photographs released online by NASA.
His discoveries and those of third parties include objects which purportedly resemble a bear, mouse, crab, scorpion, fossils, pyramid structure and even hieroglyphs and several faces carved into rock.

But his latest release is an object on Mars he claims can only be a baboon or monkey.
He said: "If this isn't the most unexpected thing to find in a Mars photo, then I just don't know what is.
"I found a monkey slumping as it sits on a stone along a hillside.
"Yeah...I don't get it either. How is this possible? I will let you figure that one out.
"This is clearly a creature on a hillside, just like a baboon on a pile of stones in the African outback.
"Why the hell aren't biologists and zoologists looking into this?"
He insisted that there was now "overall a large amount of evidence that life once existed on Mars," and put forward a bizarre explanation of why it was not openly discussed.
He said: "With every bit of evidence I find, I lose more respect for NASA that I once had. "Why hide the truth from the public, when they can take it well?

"NASA must have found something big, and useful on Mars to keep these smaller discoveries secret. Perhaps an abandoned base or spacecraft that they don't want China to get their hands on."
Scientists dismiss the array of so-called sightings as the effects of pareidolia and over-active imaginations.
Pareidolia is when the brain tricks they eyes into seeing a familiar object or shape, such as animals or faces, in patterns and textures like rock surfaces or clouds.
They say that it would be just as easy to make the same discoveries in rocky photographs on Earth and point out that the so-called animals are always the same colour as the Martian rocks.
NASA will not be drawn on such "anomalies" in its images because it says it would become inundated by them, but in a rare comment last year it also dismissed them as pareidolia.
Express.co.uk has put Mr Waring's latest comments to the agency to see if it will respond.
