Thanks gang. I'm at my father's house this weekend. Finally got a chance to take him for a good ride in my car. Let him drive, and he got on it pretty good, but backed down at 130. I took him full blast from stand still up to 150. ( didn't know the rear tires would chirp shifting to 3rd at 75...lol) he loves the car but prefers his 2014 370Z. Tomorrow taking him to a road race track day. Neither one of us are racing this time. My helmet is too old and out of spec, and he just wants to spectate this time.

Fric, it was at Grand sport Speedway, near Galveston. It's not a full time track, just opened for members and club rentals. The day was a bust. Only 15 cars showed up, most likely due to weather. It was cool and blustery, high chance of rain. We have our next event at Texas world speedway in April. I've got to check the dates and see if I'm off. I still plan to go to an actual driving school, as it's been decades since I ran road courses in anger, and I've forgotten way too much. Been trying to remember how to heel and toe, but waaaaaayyyy out of practice, lol
