An alcoholic man has been arrested over claims he repeatedly raped his 70-year-old mother.
The Asian Age reports that police in Chhattisgarh, in central India, are investigating the 40-year-old.
It is alleged that the man had habitually abused his mother, and last month it is claimed he carried out the sex attack.
His mother claims he attempted to attack her on two further occasions.
She reportedly told police: ‘He did wrong with me.
‘I told him you are my son, I gave birth to you. Don’t do this to me.
‘But he didn’t hear a word. He will pay for this. God will not spare him.’
And police superintendent Jyoti Singh is quoted saying: ‘It’s a heinous act.
‘How can a man become so savage and go for such a brutal act?
