Donald Trump-supporting rapper Azealia Banks was booted from a London festival’s lineup Wednesday after she unleashed a vile string of racist and homophobic epithets against ex-One Direction member Zayn Malik.
Her venemous insults slung at Malik, who is of English-Pakistani descent, included “the token sand nigga from 1D,” “faggot,” “dick rider,” “hairy curry scented bitch” and an offensive term for Pakistani people. She dragged family into the spat too, calling his mother “a dirty refugee who won't be granted asylum.”
Within hours, the UK-based Rinse FM’s Born & Bred Festival released a statement announcing it had canceled Banks’ June performance.
“Rinse | Born & Bred Festival is a celebration of rave culture and has been created for EVERYONE,” the statement said. “We celebrate inclusivity and equality.”
Following the festival’s proclamation, Banks apologized to ticketholders (as she boldly claimed festival attendees had only bought tickets to see her) and even issued a partial apology for her vulgar tweets.
“Big apologies to anyone who was offended by any of the things I said,” the 24-year-old wrote. “Not sorry I said it. But sorry for the way I made people feel.”
She later offered a half-baked explanation Wednesday afternoon.

"I said what I said to Zayn because I was angry. He felt as if he was too good to acknowledge me yet not to (sic) good to copy my creativity," she shared in a screengrabbed series of messages. "I had to remind him that we were both in the same boat in this industry and people of color."
Banks’ tirade began Tuesday after she accused the “cutie pie” former boy-bander of copping her various looks in his new music video for "Like I Would" and allegedly giving out her phone number to his fans.

Following cryptic tweets from Malik (“No lies ... I see you reaching but I don't care” and “My @'s too good for you”) directed at no one in particular, the rapper declared open war.
“lol u were the only paki in the group and you knew you were there for a reason,” she wrote. “you were the the token brown boy. All those white boys in 1D disrespected you and made you their PET.”

“You a dick rider for real for real. Ride this dick until the wheels fall off Punjab,” she wrote in another.
The rapper also invoked the name of her chosen presidential candidate in tweets aimed at Malik, writing “#TRUMP2016” and “U.S.A IS ABOUT TO TEACH YOU WHO NOT TO FUCK WITH!!”

Malik, for his part, appeared to be in the dark about why he’d been Banks’ unlucky target.
“why you been saying nasty things about me ? I wasn't talking about you lol ?” he wrote early Wednesday.
Previous objects of Banks’ ire have included former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton, rapper T.I. and Beyoncé.
