MOUNT HEALTHY, OH (FOX19) -

A Gold Star Chili customer is accused of calling 911 and reporting an armed robbery to avoid paying her $20.30 bill.

Bond was set at $30,000 when Destiny Janee Watson, 21, of Mt. Healthy, made a brief court appearance Thursday.

She was arrested Wednesday night on charges of disrupting public service, making false alarms and theft.

Fourteen officers from three law enforcement agencies responded to the Hamilton Avenue restaurant when Watson allegedly called 911 to report a robber with a gun was inside the business just after 10:30 p.m., police wrote in a prepared statement.

When police arrived, they quickly determined no robbery had occurred.

Only one patron, Watson, was in the store.

Further investigation concluded she had been in the restaurant since 7:20 p.m. and had ordered and consumed $20.30 worth of food, police wrote.

Gold Star workers told police she put them off by telling them someone was coming to pay her bill.

Police said they received consent to search her purse and found her cell phone. It listed an outgoing emergency call at the same time Hamilton County dispatchers received the 911 call reporting the robbery at Gold Star.
