some hilarious shit right there. I spent the better part of saturday afternoon trying to assemble a big shelf for the laundry room. The boards wouldn't fit into the frame and I was sure that I was doing something wrong or that maybe I didn't get the instructions until I asked my neighbour who is a trained carpenter for help. He took a close look at the parts, took out a tape measure and showed me that the boards were about a quarter of an inch too long...

weird..........never had a problem with any thing from ikea...............put up some shelves for someone a few weeks ago...........took about 10 minutes

I love how all instructions need that Z shaped tool that nobody ever uses..

I have a drawer full of them

it depends on the model. Billy and a few others are usually made in poland while Ivar (the big rugged things that you don't ant in your bedroom or living room) is made in russia. I guess the workers there are drunk most of the time so they don't always saw the boards quite faithfully to the instructions.
