PARLIAMENT is in lockdown after reports that a mysterious 'white powder' was found inside a letter to a peer triggering fears of a chemical attack.
The Lords are believed to have been locked out on the terrace.
Experts are frantically trying to establish what the powder is and whether the substance poses any threat.
The whole of the Westminster estate is believed to be involved in the lockdown.
Security experts have been scrambled to the scene.
