An ISIS fighter trying to escape being shot from an Iraqi helicopter tried to disguise himself by putting grass on his head, video footage has shown.
The footage shot from the helicopter shows the fighter lying down in some foliage and placing grass on his head.
He looks up at the camera before bending his head back down to the floor again.

Once he believes the helicopter has gone, he gets up and ensures he has his gun.
Bizarrely, he holds a large patch of weedy grass above his head while he looks around for the helicopter.

It is not known if the ISIS fighter was eventually caught by Iraqi forces.
