A TOP orthopaedic specialist harassed colleagues with sex texts, comparing himself to Hollywood movie spy Jason Bourne, saying “I will find you”, a medical tribunal heard today.

Dr Kalyana Saripalli, 39, is accused of behaving inappropriately to three female staff at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital Trust in London and Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Bucks. It was claimed he made a reference to the fictional spy and assassin played by Matt Damon in a series of blockbuster films, in a text to a nurse.

He allegedly wrote: “I’m Jason Bourne in reality, I will find you – you are my destiny. If you can’t accept the truth, that I long for you, I would rather be dead.”

He then added: “You fancy a date?” It was said he told another nurse: “You make me horny!”

At the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service in Manchester, Saripalli admitted allegations of harassment but denied that his messages were sexually motivated.

The alleged behaviour started in September 2011 when he was working in the orthopaedic department at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital Trust. It was claimed he sent “love” texts to a nurse, referred to as Colleague A.

When Colleague A asked him to stop it was claimed he wrote: “I love u. I’ll miss u, thought I was getting a life, guess not.”

He later added: “I wish I was dead, u still have a hearty long life to live, I’ll manage, don’t stress urself.”

Opening the case for the General Medical Council, Tom Gilbart said: “Colleague A was employed by a company that provides nurses and she complained about advances being made by the doctor.

“The text messages demonstrate he continued to send messages, even though she made it clear she did not wish to hear from him.”

Saripalli is then alleged to have started sending texts to another nurse, Colleague C, who was on a placement at Guy’s and St Thomas’. After moving to Stoke Mandeville Hospital it was said his behaviour continued with another nurse, Colleague D.

It was claimed he wrote to her: “You make me horny” before claiming he used to “keep his girlfriend up all night”.

Saripalli asked her out for dinner but when she declined it was said he replied: “What, do you think I am going to try and get you into bed after a cup of tea?”

Mr Gilbart told the hearing: “On July 3, 2014, he asked Colleague D out for dinner. On July 10 he asked her where one could obtain Ketamine (a recreational drug) and asked her about piercings and tattoos. He then asked if he could speak to her in private and asked personal things which made her feel uncomfortable.

“As they walked out for a cigarette he said ‘can you keep a secret? You make me horny’ before telling her he used to ‘keep his girlfriend up all night’.”

Mr Gilbert added: “The conversation made Colleague D feel extremely uncomfortable.

“The GMC case is that his behaviour was sexually motivated and that was denied. “Colleague D would have nightmares and wake up sweating.

“His behaviour was harassing and that matter has been admitted.”

The hearing continues.

I can't even say I'm surprised.

Doctors are seen as Professionals, up there with Lawyers, Accountants and Engineers. But many of them are fucking not. Some of the unprofessional stories I've heard from my wife and doctor friends would knock your socks off.

Recent story: My wife overheard told a Doctor yell at a Nurse in the ER to "get the fuck off my back" when she reminded him of something. Then over lunch with his residents, the Doc said out loud "Who does that bitch think she is? She doesn't even get me hard."

Maybe it's because a lot of them are book smart with no social skills, or maybe a lot of them have God complexes. I'm not sure... but I know There are a lot of docs who would be fired in any other 'professional' industry immediately
