Forget Halloween, it’s already Christmas in parts of London!
Yes, you read that correctly. Selfridges have today revealed their ‘summer Christmas shop’ – and it’s covered in festive cheer.
Almost the entirety of the Oxford Street store’s forth floor has been transformed into a ‘Shine on’ winter wonderland with 50,000 decorations on display.
The eager store has claimed that the 2016 opening is the world’s earliest, and it will be further expanded in autumn.

However it is extremely soon – considering the fact that we still have more than 20 weeks until Santa parks his sleigh.
Speaking to the Evening Standard, bosses revealed that the big launch is mainly due to an enormous demand from foreign tourists.
Geraldine James, Christmas home & decorations buyer at Selfridges, said: ‘We’ve been working on this year’s Christmas Shop since Christmas last year.

‘We have so many customers visiting from all over the world and eager to snap up festive souvenirs on their summer holidays, which they can’t buy at home.
‘So, we have to make sure we’re ready to showcase Christmas decorations they will truly treasure.’
Well that’s one way to get into the Christmas spirit (four months early)!
