Country singer and "The Voice" star Blake Shelton has come under fire after tweets he deleted more than five years ago have come back to haunt him.

Several tweets from Shelton, posted between 2009 and 2011, show a side to the singer many may not have known about, according to the Daily Mail.

"Wish the d---head in the next room would either shut up or learn some English so I would at least know what he's planning to bomb," Shelton wrote in a 2011 tweet.

The tweets were deleted after being posted, but followers were quick to capture screenshots, which resurfaced on several news outlets on Aug. 14.

"Standing in line at a coffee shop in LA talking with the man in front of me," he wrote in another 2011 tweet. "He orders a skinny caramel latte. I couldn't tell he was gay!"

Another shocking tweet shows Shelton, who is dating his "The Voice" co-star Gwen Stefani, admitting to a "sick fantasy" involving Dakota Fanning, who was 16-years-old at the time.

"So I just figured out a great excuse for my sick fantasy about Dakota Fanning," he wrote. "I thought she was Amanda Seyfried."

One tweet from 2009 caused fans to call Shelton a "sexist" after he referred to an ex-girlfriend as a "fat ugly b---h."

The tweets have fans of Shelton's outraged and accusing him of being sexist, racist, misogynistic and homophobic.

"I can't believe you would say something so racist," one fan tweeted at the singer, the Daily Mirror reports. "I will never buy your music again."

"Absolutely zero people should be surprised that Blake Shelton, a country singer from Oklahoma, is possibly racist and homophobic," another user wrote.
