Christie Brinkley and her 18-year-old daughter, Sailor, recently posted for an adorable snapshot wearing matching outfits as the proud mom helped Sailor move off to college at Parsons School of Design in New York City.

In response, the internet hate machine did what it does best: it mocked the teenage girl for everything from her looks to her choice in higher education to her inability to live up to standards apparently set by her supermodel mom.

Sailor took to Instagram on Wednesday to fire back at the random commenters showering her with undue hate. She shared a few screengrabs of particularly mean and tasteless messages, and took them to task in a lengthy caption.

"I usually never read the comment section under any stupid article about me.. And when i do i usually never take the comments to heart.. But i am so fed up," she wrote.

Sailor responded to the hatemongers point by point, first addressing those who compared her looks to her 30-year-old sister, Alexa.

"I believe comparison will kill you. Comparison to others is toxic and unhealthy," Sailor argued. "As long as I am happy healthy and kind to others why should i care if i am not as 'pretty' as someone else ? Let alone not as 'pretty' as my own blood relatives?"

Next, she shot back at commenters who railed on her choice of higher education, writing, "Pushing down the school i worked my ass off for 4 years to get into, saying its for do-nothing trust fund babies, is not only stereotyping a scholastic community but is just plain incorrect and rude!" she wrote. "I know many kids enrolled in Parsons who are the most hard working and passionate students in all of new york."

Finally, she addressed the subject she's "been meaning to touch on publicly for years," which is constantly being compared to her mom.

"Believe it or not I am my own person with my own beliefs and own thoughts and my own face! Eyes smile teeth forehead! All mine! The whole shabang!" Sailor said. "Yes i am so fortunate that my mother is my mother.. And she will always be an inspiration to me... But being constantly compared to her 50+ years of success at only 18 years old? And being told I could never amount to what she was and what she looks like? Doesn't feel great."

"I'm just a person figuring out what i want to do and what makes me happy. Leave me alone," she added. "Let's just f---kin spread love you guys. And pleaseeeee stop trolling me."

She's cute, but she looks nothing like her mother.

People online are spiteful, hateful, cowards that wouldn't have a hair on their ass to say 5% of this type of stuff to a real persons face. Aside from this place, and facebook friends, I have totally given upon the comments sections..
