DAYTONA BEACH — Police are looking for a suspect who robbed at gunpoint a pizza delivery man of money, pizza and Mountain Dew.
The suspect also offered a piece of pizza to an unknown male near the Beauty Bazaar while running from the scene in front of the Pizza Hut at 832 N. Nova Road, located in the same shopping center — the Holly Hill Plaza at the corner of Nova and Mason Avenue — according to a Daytona Beach police report.
Seth Rath told police shortly after 11:30 p.m. Sunday that he had a delivery to make when he was walking to his car and was approached by an unknown man who was pointing an Uzi-style firearm at Rath, according to the report.
"Give me all your money, pizza and Mountain Dew. You aren't gonna die tonight," the suspect said, according to the report. Rath handed over the pie and two-liter bottle of soda and a total of $20 in cash.
Trenton Johnson, 19, said the unknown man, described as clean shaven and in his twenties, offered him a slice of pizza as he went past, according to the report.
Another employee told police he'd seen the suspect, who wore a purple shirt, jeans and whose height was about 5 feet 11 to 6 feet 1, walking through the parking lot prior to the robbery.
