A former Iowa substitute teacher not only claims she was seduced by her 17-year-old high school student, but that school officials told her to keep quiet about the affair.
"He would come into my classroom, grab a Post-It, write something and stick it to my desk on his way out, " said 24-year-old Mary Beth Haglin, who is charged with sexual exploitation by a school employee, the Daily Mail reports.

"I love you so much, my empress," one such note read.

Haglin allegedly engaged in a tryst with the teenage Washington High School student for almost six months after being hired in January.
While school officials fired Haglin in May after conducting an investigation, she said they had told her to keep "hush hush" about the affair. Many school officials, including Principal Dr. Ralph Plagman, retired early after the incident became public.
During the affair, Haglin and the minor reportedly had intercourse, with the teacher sending sexy selfies to the teenage boy.

The victim allegedly called Haglin "Mrs. Robinson," a reference to the movie "The Graduate" in which Dustin Hoffman's character has an affair with an older, married woman.
“We met several times a week, not every time was just to have sex,” she said, Inside Edition reports. “There were times we would sit and talk. I thought in my mind this was some sort of real relationship.”
Although the former teacher admits to having been "completely head over heels" over the boy, she now believes the affair was "a terrible mistake."

She says she regrets thinking she could keep the relationship a secret.
"I want to go back and smack myself and ask, 'What were you thinking, Mary Beth?'" the former teacher said.

"I never thought it would get this far and I apologize to each and every person I hurt," she adds.
On Sept. 7, she pleaded not guilty to the charges, which could send her to jail for up to two years. She would also have to register as a sex offender for a decade.
The court will debate her case at a trial scheduled for Nov. 14.
