TRENTON – A woman stabbed her male roommate in the chest Friday after he refused to have sex with her, prosecutors said Tuesday.
Sharon Harry, 61, of Trenton, was arrested Friday and charged with aggravated assault and weapons charges.
During a bail hearing Tuesday, prosecutors said Harry got upset at her roommate for not having sex with her Friday night. She grabbed a knife and stabbed him in the chest, causing a serious injury, prosecutors said.
When police showed up at the Pearl Street home, the roommate was coherent and able to tell them what had happened, prosecutors said. He was rushed to the hospital and was still being treated Tuesday morning, prosecutors said.
An attorney representing Harry told a Superior Court judge that the assault was out of character for Harry, who has no prior record.
A judge decided to reduce her bail to $10,000 Tuesday.
