A woman in an argument with her boyfriend Sunday night retaliated by removing the under wire of the bra she was wearing and scratching the boyfriend’s vehicle with it, police said.
Tanika McCool, 29, of the 1300 block of North Fourth Street was taken to the Sangamon County Jail following the incident, which happened about 7:30 p.m. at her home.
McCool and her live-in boyfriend were arguing, when McCool suddenly tore the under wire out of the bra she was wearing and used it to put a 6-inch scratch on the exterior paint of his red 2001 Cadillac, the boyfriend told police.
He told officers he tried to pull McCool away from his car, but she pulled on his shirt and ripped it, then slapped him on the face and chest several times before falling on the sidewalk.
Police tried to talk to McCool, but said she was uncooperative and appeared to be intoxicated.
