Hillary Clinton, “America’s abuela”, doesn’t have the highest opinion of Bernie Sanders’ millennial, financially challenged supporters.

Secretly recorded audio of Clinton speaking at a private, February fundraiser was released late Friday night. In it, Clinton can be heard referring to Sanders’ “lost generation”, as she called them.

“Some are new to politics completely. They’re children of the Great Recession. And they are living in their parents’ basement,” she told her audience. “They feel they got their education and the jobs that are available to them are not at all what they envisioned for themselves. And they don’t see much of a future.”

Not only are these kids basement dwellers, but Clinton didn’t stop there. She went on to kvetch about Sanders’s supporters’ attachment to free stuff, noting that their grabby ways left her “bewildered,” particularly their assertions about “Scandinavia, whatever that means.” She implied that Sanders voters might not know exactly what they want, but followed their socialist leader blindly because it felt right, and because Sanders was selling them an unrealistic pipe dream (some Scandinavian socialist paradise, perhaps?).

If only all bewildered millennials could be like Clinton’s own daughter, Chelsea. The former and aspiring future first daughter doesn’t exactly have to live in her mom’s basement in Chappaqua. Her parents set up Chelsea, the least successful Clinton, and her failed investor husband in a $9.25 million apartment in New York City’s swank Madison Square Park neighborhood. Chelsea can also flit in and out of employment whenever she chooses (her “job”, after all, is working for mom and dad at the Clinton Foundation) in between exotic European vacations with her parents’ celebrity friends and jaunts to one of the world’s most expensive hotels in Turks and Caicos.

Clearly Chelsea isn’t yearning for some Sanders’ inspired, Scandinavian paradise.

Donald Trump seized on Clinton’s statements Saturday night, telling an audience in Pennsylvania that Clinton had no respect for Sanders supporters. Sunday afternoon, Trump used Twitter to stick it to Clinton a second time.

The Washington Free Beacon originally published the secret audio of Hillary Clinton’s remarks, and POLITICO picked up the story Saturday morning. Initially, POLITICO titled its piece with a harsh headline, picking up the “basement dwellers” comment, but was roundly criticized on social media for knocking the Clinton campaign.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Just an embarrassing headline for politico. On what planet is this mocking? <a href="https://t.co/JNGDVCLHGn">https://t.co/JNGDVCLHGn</a> <a href="https://t.co/9Ulgo1rGK2">pic.twitter.com/9Ulgo1rGK2</a></p>&mdash; Rob Flaherty (@Rob_Flaherty) <a href="https://twitter.com/Rob_Flaherty/status/782038614607888384">October 1, 2016</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Oh, and <a href="https://twitter.com/politico">@politico</a>? When you share the story, as I did, you get the old, totally false and destructive headline. Can you fix? <a href="https://t.co/B27HopbQNO">https://t.co/B27HopbQNO</a></p>&mdash; Joan Walsh (@joanwalsh) <a href="https://twitter.com/joanwalsh/status/782067065259786240">October 1, 2016</a></blockquote>

POLITICO quickly changed their headline to “better reflect Clinton’s tone,” which was less openly insulting, and more condescending.

Double-edged sword. He's also where he is from all the free media.

They make it breaking news, but it isn't dissuading any of his supporters. This kind of shit from Hillary though, it must at some point make the Bernie supports who may vote for her lose interest.

She is struggling to win CA I think, since governor moonbeam just signed a bill to allow felons in prison to vote
