Arby's is taking its "We have the meats" slogan seriously. The fast-food chain will add venison — aka deer meat — to its list of ingredients this month.

Arby's is offering a venison sandwich at select stores in Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Wisconsin, starting on Oct. 31. The promotion will only run for a few days at each selected restaurant and is scheduled to end on Nov. 27.

The Arby's venison sandwich will feature venison steak, crispy onions and a juniper berry sauce on a toasted roll.

The unique offering makes perfect sense to Arby's Brand President Rob Lynch. "Hunters hunt the meats, and we have the meats, so it makes sense for us to connect with them and offer a sandwich that they can't get at any other restaurant chain," Lynch said in a press release.

i try to avoid arby's like the plague though... it is one thing to have a venison steak that you know the source, this seems a little sketchy to me

Why would it be any different than any other meat you dont know the source of.

Collect? That sounds so creepy.... I collect pretty things, then I eat them.

I don't get why people use muzzle loaders. Seems like a big pain in the ass to me.

You get an extra couple weeks of hunting.
I actually prefer muzzle loading because there are much less people in the woods. The deer haven't been chased by dogs and dipshits so you can actually stalk them. Mostly though since you only get one shot, you will be slower on the trigger and place the bullet for a clean kill instead of wounding the animal to die later.
