A 19-year-old Florida woman was sentenced to jail for two months for pretending to smother her 7-month-old son and sending a video of it to the baby’s father.

She attached a note saying, "Good luck finding your son's body," the Orlando Sentinel reported.

Samantha Nicole Salinas pleaded no contest last month to child abuse, a third-degree felony that carries a five-year prison term. She got a reduced sentence of two years, plus four years probation and a mandatory psychological evaluation,

The case dates back to May, when Salinas confessed to a Sanford, Florida police officer that she made the fake video to get back at her son’s father.

The video was actually sent in November or December, but it was reported to the authorities months later, presumably by the baby’s father. Police say they found out about it after an unidentified person requested them to check on the child and sent a copy of the video.

In court records, Police Officer Austin Robinson described the child as crying and struggling in the video, appearing to be “distressed.”

In May, Circuit Judge Susan Stacy ordered Salinas to have no contact with the child or any other children and placed the baby with the defendant's mother.
