Tony Blair could be getting back into British politics to save us from a disastrous Brexit.
The former Prime Minister apparently doesn’t think the current leaders are up to the job of negotiating a good deal for the UK.
Mr Blair is said to be searching for a new office in Westminster from where he can launch his comeback in the form of an institute that can influence policy.
‘He’s not impressed with Theresa May,’ an insider told the Sunday Times.
‘He thinks she’s a total lightweight. He thinks Jeremy Corbyn’s a nutter and the Tories are screwing up Brexit.
‘He thinks there’s a massive hole in British politics that he can fill.’
The ex-Labour leader has also apparently been having conversations with former chancellor George Osborne about how the country will run after it leaves the European Union.
Mr Blair’s aides have already dismissed claims he’s angling for a job with Donald Trump after he was spotted in New York with the president-elect’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner.
The two have apparently known each other for years.
Mr Blair is also still reeling from the Chilcot Inquiry, which didn’t put him in a great light regarding the Iraq invasion.
Metro.co.uk has contacted the office of Tony Blair for a comment.
